Can Tumblr Tell Your Story?

For digital marketers and brands who want a greater online presence, blogging is a proven tool to find an audience. It is also a solid means for SEO and certain communication initiatives.

This being said, have you considered the possibility of utilizing images to brand, market and communicate? Sounds a bit iffy, but there are brands who are hot on this trend.

One of the ways this is being done is by successfully employing a Tumblr strategy, and utilizing this short form blogging platform to reap the rewards.

The photo capabilities and expectations of Tumblr are what really set it apart. Still not a believer? Well, check out Coca-Cola, NBA and Target’s efforts on Tumblr to see what all the fuss is about.

This is proving to be a unique way to access social media, and we are only at the early stages of what brands can do in this arena.

Tumblr is also unique because of the perspective it delivers compared to Facebook and Twitter. It offers less direct marketing and more of a means to open up your business for all to see. There’s a real effectiveness if it is done right.

A lot of brands still aren’t on the Tumblr bandwagon, but it’s only a matter of time before this becomes a distinct tactic in their overall digital and social media plans.

What brands do you enjoy on Tumblr?
