E&P conference LOGOLast month, Editor & Publisher brought together experts from a wide range of new media disciplines to the magazine’s 21st Annual Interactive Media Conference and Tradeshow to educate the audience, analyze trends and debate about what works and what doesn’t.  Keynote speakers such as John Paton, CEO of the Journal Register Company, and Josh Cohen, senior business product manager at Google News, offered their insights on the ever-changing landscape of the news industry.

Media organizations across the US made their way to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas where Marketwire was on hand as sponsor and exhibitor of the two-day event. The primary focus was to examine new media opportunities that could contribute to the success of businesses within the industry.

The conference sessions explored topics ranging — from the future relevance of Twitter as a news source to the question of digital tablets saving mainstream media.  The event concluded with the presentation of the 2010 EPpy Awards, which recognizes innovative media websites.  With four awards each, National Public Radio and the Las Vegas Sun were this year’s big winners.

Check out who attended the conference at the IMC 2010 Photo Gallery! The 22nd Annual Interactive Media Conference will be held again in Las Vegas in the spring of 2011. Specific date and location to be announced.
